This place is great! The kids wanted ice cream and we kept seeing people coming from the direction of big licks so we decided to check it out. Well worth it. There are a ton of choices and all of us had just 1 scoop and the kids and I could not finish it.

We enjoyed a visit to Big Licks ice cream on vacation. Wow - the sundaes and cones were huge!!! My husband, myself and the kids all thought this place was pretty great. Would definitely be a return visit during our next vacation.

The ice cream here was phenomenal. They have some interesting flavors including brownie batter and chocolate cake batter. The servings are large and the prices aren’t too bad either

My husband and i stopped in here for an ice cream one night and oh my goodness!! ice cream is my favorite food and this was definitely the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend, also the ice cream was very well priced and very good portions

I have owned a ice cream shop for over 30 years and make my own ice cream as well. Big Licks is the real deal, everyone (party of 5) enjoyed their treats, ice cream was rich, smooth and flavorful and the portions were good too. They also had great variety of flavors and a good amount of toppings. Would definitly recommend if you are in OOB

I can’t express enough how much I appreciate it, and being able to take my kiddos out for ice cream. So often people are reluctant to guarantee their ingredients, so they have to miss out on trying new things because it isn’t worth the risk. My family treasured our time downtown last night and your ice cream was amazing. The girls working truly had outstanding customer service and even though I was being a really needy annoying customer, they never made me feel bad. Thank you so much, Big Licks team!

This place has the largest scoops of ice cream I have ever seen. You place your order with the cashier and then just wait for it to be scooped up which I felt moved the line a long nicely.

There are numerous options for ice-cream stands at Old Orchard Beach, choose wisely! I actually chose this stand based on other reviews and was not disappointed. The small size was plenty large enough, and it certainly was tasty! Add to those two things that you can enjoy your cone while watching the waves on the ocean and life is good! I did not rate the highest as it did not rank on my ‘best ice-cream ever’ meter, but it certainly was good! Worth a stop.

After going to the amusement park, beach and dinner on the pier, we were walking back to our rent house and passed by Big Licks. It was our last night in Maine so we just had to stop with our family of 9 for an ice cream to eat on our walk back. It is pretty busy at 7 in the evening, but the line went fast. There are so many fun flavors to choose from! It was so hard to decide. We all got the small kiddie size, which was plenty for an after dinner treat. It was delicious!! What a great ending to our Maine vacation!

What a great find!! Big Licks in Old Orchard is awesome!! They have great ice cream and a very friendly staff!! Keep in mind they are a cash only establishment in the heart of old orchard. They always have a line out the door!! Its a great place after a hot day at the beach!!
