Big Licks is currently registered to offer franchise opportunities in the following States:
- Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming
Future franchise development opportunities are being considered for the following States:
- California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin

If you are interested in one of the areas listed above, our qualifications are as follows:
- Ability to develop 3-5 restaurants within your territory.
- A restaurant location with at least 40,000-50,000 people (either residential or business people during the day & evening) within a two mile radius. Protected development territories will be made available on an individual case basis depending on the city / town and the population.
- US$200 Thousand in net worth (not including primary residence, personal automobile and personal property) .
- US$80 Thousand in liquid assets.
- 2 years as a restaurant owner / operator preferred. Or have management with the necessary experience.
Initial Investment:
- Franchise Development fee of US$10,000 for each location expected to be developed within a territory.
- Franchise License fee of US$25,000 for the first location within a territory.
- Six percent (6%) of gross sales are paid as a monthly Royalty and two percent (2%) of gross sales are contributed monthly to a Production & Development Fund. This fund provides public relations support, in-store point of purchase materials, product development, web site development, local store marketing tools, etc.
- The initial investment is estimated to be US$109,450 to US$473,700 for each restaurant depending on whether you are developing a Big Licks “Express” ice cream parlor or the more traditional Big Licks ice cream parlor and whether you are buying a building or renting. The costs provided do not include real estate and license costs. (Location must be approved by Big Licks corporate)
