About

Big Licks flagship shop is located in one of Americas Hottest Tourist Destinations, Old Orchard Beach, Maine. We are a privately held corporation with corporate headquarters in Scarborough, Maine.

We are a Traditional American Homemade Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt shop.  We use only the freshest ingredients to create all of our traditional and unique flavors.  We have a state of the art, modern kitchen facility that produces fresh super premium ice cream every week.

We plan to keep the same logo, uniform, menu and ambiance which we feel will add tremendous consistency and success to the Brand. We plan to open other locations and franchise the concept in small-town America, major metropolitan areas and internationally.  The rustic, yet casual beach-theme establishment features a V-Match Pine board interior, a tile floor with a hard wood look and corian countertops. There’s a simple menu that features homemade ice cream, frozen yogurt, floats, frappes, freezes, sundaes, specialty sundaes, banana splits, pints and slush/ice drinks.

The company hires both males and females to work in management, kitchen and front retail staff positions.   We have coined the term “Big Licks Chicks” to define the bubbly personalities of the girls that meet and greet our customers entering the ice cream shop and we simply think that the rhyme sounds cute.   The Big Licks Chick uniform consists of a Blue Big Licks Logoed V-neck shirt, Blue or Khaki Shorts, a Blue Logoed Hat, White “no show” socks and Sneakers.   The Big Licks male uniform consists of a Blue Big Licks Logoed T-shirt, Khaki Shorts, a Blue Logoed Hat, White “no show” socks and Sneakers.  We expect our team members to be courteous, outgoing, friendly and engaging – every customer gets a smile and a “Welcome to Big Licks®”.

The Big Licks system will use print, social media and the internet to advertise the concept. It will also establish charity events to benefit the community. We donate ice cream to local schools for their seasonal and holiday events and we also hope to raise money for youth groups that encourage and foster growth and education for kids. These might be faith based youth organizations or local community youth groups specializing in education, athletics, etc.
